Summary

Nick Carraway (Old Sport) is a man who lives next to a big mansion owned by a mysterious man called Jay Gatsby. Across the lake lives a wealthy couple, Daisy and Yom. One day, Nick receives an invitation to a party at Gatsby's house. Nick realizes that despite there were a lot of people he was the only one who received an invitation. That night, Nick meets Gatsby. Nick and Gatsby get along very well and one afternoon Gatsby encounters with Daisy in Nicks house. Gatsby was in a deep love with Daisy because she was his girlfriend five years ago until Gatsby had to go to the war. And now that Gatsby has met her again, he want to recover the love that they had once.

Character Description

Gatsby: He is a mysterious guy who lives in a mansion next to Nick. He hides many secrets about his past. He was once poor, but after returning from the war he became a wealthy person. The origin of his fortune is unknown, but it is supposed to be illegal. He is in a deep love with Daisy.

Daisy: Daisy is the wife of Tom and a very good friend of Nick. She is a confused woman because she married with Tom, but in secret she loves Gatsby. She is a very conflicted character, because she has to make a big decisions between staying with her husband and her actual life or going with the love of her life Gatsby.

Nick: Nick is the central character of the story, because this story is told from his point of view. He is a very good friend with Daisy, Gatsby and Tom, so he had to carry on with all the uncomfortable situations that happens between them.

Personal Opinion

In my opinion, I really enjoyed this movie despite it is a live story. I liked it a lot because the movie had a good argument. I became identified with this move, because I have had similar situations. The only thing I disliked about the movie is that the songs played during the parties in Gatsby's house weren't from the time of the movie. You can see classic cars and people wearing clothes from an old fashion dancing new electronic songs. Despite of this, I liked a lot the movie every scene has coherence with the others. I didn't see the end of the movie, but I predict that Tom or Gatsby will die after a fight they had for Daisy.
